Issued at 6:09 pm EST Friday on 25 July 2014

An area of cloud over southern SA, Victoria and Tasmania is associated with a low pressure system near the west of Victoria. Isolated thunderstorms are visible over parts of Tasmania and Bass Strait.

Another area of cloud extends from northern QLD to the central NSW coast, with thunderstorms off the coast.

Some low cloud can be seen over the southwest of WA ahead of a cold front to the west.

Remaining areas of the country are mostly clear due to a strong high pressure system.
