This high level cloud merges with a weakening cold front over the Tasman Sea. A stronger cold front is near the southwest coast of Western Australia and connects to a deep low over the Southern Ocean. Cumulus cloud has developed over the Northern Territory this afternoon while onshore southeasterly winds are resulting in patchy cloud over far north Queensland. A ride of high pressure is maintaining clear conditions over the remainder of the country.
