Areas of low cloud are moving onto the northern New South Wales and southern Queensland coasts within a moist south/southeasterly airflow. Areas of low and middle level cloud also remain over the southern interior of Queensland while a band of high cloud is developing just off the Capricornia coast to the east of an upper trough.
Patchy low cloud remains about parts of Tasmania, southern Victorian and southeastern SA as a high approaches Tasmania from the west.
A cloud band moving across the southwest of WA is associated with a prefrontal trough ahead of an approaching frontal system.
