A complex low pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea, to the west of New
Zealand, and cold air convective cloud can be seen spiralling around the low.
Patchy low cloud remains about parts of Tasmania and Victoria and also just off
the NSW coast within the southerly airstream well to the west of the low.

High cloud is streaming from northern WA into South Australia and is associated
with an upper trough. A cold front and its associated cloud band is approaching
the far southwest of WA while another develops in the westerly airstream to its
west.
