A deep low pressure system over New Zealand and associated cold pool are
producing low cloud over much of the Tasman Sea and widespread middle level
cloud and some thunderstorm near New Zealand.

A complex region of low pressure sits over the Bight and has multiple cold
fronts and troughs. High cloud is streaming down over South Australia, Victoria
and Tasmania. While there is some low cloud over the south coast of Western
Australia.

A ridge of high pressure is responsible for keeping the rest of the continent
mainly cloud free.
