Active thunderstorms can be seen across a broad area covering eastern parts of Western Australia, the southwest of the Territory and the west of South Australia. This convective activity lies near to, and to the east of, a surface trough. High cloud extends further east across southern parts of the Territory and the remaining districts of South Australia.
A few isolated diurnal thunderstorms remain about the central interior of Queensland and near another surface trough.
High cloud is streaming over Tasmania from a frontal system much further to the west. The northern portion of this front is approaching the far southwest of Western Australia.
