A broad area of low pressure extends from the WA interior across central
Australia and through to the western Queensland and northeastern New South
Wales. This is generating areas of patchy mid level cloud with embedded
thunderstorms over the interior of the country, extending on to northern and
central parts of SA and northern parts of New South Wales.

Thunderstorm activity is evident across the northern tropics of the country.

Cloud associated with a cold front and its pre-frontal trough can be seen
approaching Tasmania and western Victoria.
