High cloud is seen across Western Australia and about the west of South
Australia, which remains from overnight thunderstorm activity, and tends more
patchy through parts of the Northern Territory. An area of middle level cloud is
seen stretching from eastern South Australia across western New South Wales.

A cold front now lies over the Tasman Sea to the east of Tasmania, with a band
of low and middle level cloud extending to the southeast from eastern Victoria.
A cold and unstable southwesterly airstream remains behind the front across
Tasmania and southern Victoria, with speckled cell based cloud producing showers
of rain and small hail.

Low cloud can be seen over the south coasts of WA and SA within a moist
southerly airstream directed by a ridge of high pressure.
