Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC Chart on 28 September 2016
Issued at 11:29 am EST Wednesday on 28 September 2016

A strong cold front and rapidly intensifying low pressure system are crossing
the Bight generating a large cloud band with embedded thunderstorm activity. A
field of convective cellular cloud can be seen in the cold air behind the front.

An upper level cloud band is streaming down from tropical convection over
Indonesia to central Australia. This cloud is brought along by the upper level
subtropical jet stream.

Patches of low cloud can been seen over southwest and southern coasts of Western
Australia due to an onshore southerly wind flow.
