Patchy high cloud can be seen over the far northern tropics of Australia with a few isolated thunderstorms remaining near the north coast of the Top End and the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula.
Patchy low cloud remains in the wake of a weak cold front off the New South Wales coast, in central and southern coastal areas of NSW, and over much of Victoria and Tasmania.
A little patchy cirrus covers parts of far southern WA and SA, extending across the Bight ahead of a frontal system to the south of the continent. Predominantly cloud free conditions affect most of the country, under the influence of a high pressure system.
