A broad area of low pressure covers much of northern and western Australia. A trough extends from northern WA, through the Interior and Eucla districts. Another trough extends from the central NT, through SW Queensland and into NSW. The low pressure area and troughs are generating mid level cloud and isolated thunderstorms. High cloud is streaming over western South Australia and the Great Australian Bight.
Patchy low cloud near the New South Wales coast is due to a moist onshore airstream.
