An extensive area of cloud extends from central Western Australia to south of
Tasmania. This is caused by a cold front and a strong upper trough. Low cloud is
over the southern WA coast in the wake of this front.

An area of cloud over southeast Queensland and the adjacent sea is being
generated by a cold trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere.
