A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms associated with a cold front is
crossing eastern Victoria, Tasmania and southeastern New South Wales.

Another cloud band with embedded thunderstorms associated with a strong cold
front is moving over the far southwest of Western Australia. The patchy cloud
west of this system indicates a large pool of cold, unstable air with isolated

A thin band of high-level jetstream cloud is streaming ahead of this front and
can be seen just south of WA extending into South Australia, NSW and southern

Onshore winds are bringing low cloud to parts of Cape York Peninsula. A large
high pressure system over the eastern part of the country is responsible for
keeping the rest of the country mainly cloud free.
