Thunderstorms are evident over the western Tasman Sea near a surface trough.

Patchy low level cloud about the coast and ranges in Tasmania, Victoria and
inland New South Wales is due to a cool southwesterly airstream. Likewise, a
southerly onshore flow has brought low cloud over much of southwest WA.

A trough extends from central Australia down to the Great Australian Bight which
is producing a patchy middle level cloud band and isolated thunderstorms.
Further west, a jetstream is pulling high cloud from over the Indian Ocean
towards the west coast of WA.
