A cold front northeast of Tasmania is producing a cloud band with isolated thunderstorms over the Tasman Sea. A cool southwesterly airstream behind the front is resulting in areas of low cloud over southern Victoria. Some high cloud is present over northern Tasmania.

Patchy middle level cloud is evident over southern parts of the NT and northern SA. Patchy high level cloud in streaming over northern Qld. A band of mostly upper level cloud extends over NSW, associated with an upper level disturbance. Patchy high level cloud is crossing SA ahead of a trough with middle level cloud and isolated thunderstorms over ocean waters to the south.

The remainder of the Australian continent is mostly cloud free.
