An extensive cloud band extends over the Coral Sea towards the North Island of
New Zealand and is due to a surface trough and associated upper level trough.

A weak low pressure system over the Tasman Sea is responsible for a large area
of cloud with isolated thunderstorm activity near Lord Howe Island.

A low pressure system and associated cold front is passing through southwest WA
with high level cloud streaming ahead of an extensive cloud band. A second cold
front passing through the Southern Ocean is responsible for the cloud band
influencing southern SA, VIC and TAS.
