A broad area of low pressure covers most of the continent with associated low
pressure troughs extending through the interior. This combined with a warm moist
airmass is resulting in middle level cloud with widespread showers and
thunderstorms across most of the country including through WA, southern NT, SA,
southern QLD, NSW, VIC, and TAS.

Wispy high-based cloud extends over far southern parts of WA brought along by an
upper level jet streak.
