Cloud and thunderstorm activity over the central and southern parts of Western
Australia and into the Great Australian Bight is associated with Ex-Tropical
Cyclone 'Kelvin' and a surface trough.

Another surface trough extends from central Western Australia through the
southern parts of the Northern Territory to southwest Queensland and into
northern New South Wales. Moist and unstable airmass is causing thunderstorms
over southeast Queensland.

Ex-Tropical Cyclone 'Gita' can be seen over the Tasman Sea with associated cloud
and thunderstorms affecting New Zealand.

A ridge of high pressure extending over Tasmania from the south is driving some
low cloud along the east coasts of Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales.
