The extensive area of cloud located off the northwest WA coast is associated
with Severe Tropical Cyclone "Marcus" (Category 4).

Thunderstorms are active near the monsoon trough which extends from the Timor
Sea to Tropical Cyclone "Nora" (Category 2) located over the Arafura Sea and
further out to the Solomon Sea.

A low pressure trough is producing isolated thunderstorms and patchy middle to
high level cloud over the eastern interior of the continent.

A high pressure system southeast of Tasmania is directing onshore winds and
areas of low cloud to the coast of New South Wales. Rainfall over the mid north
coast of New South Wales is enhanced by a low pressure trough near the central
and north coast of New South Wales.

A low pressure trough/front is moving across southern WA into the eastern Bight.
