The monsoon trough is aligned off the northwest coast of WA extending across
northern NT to the Gulf of Carpentaria and is generating thunderstorms. Cloudy
conditions and isolated thunderstorms persist across large parts of northern

A long band of scattered thunderstorms is associated with a low pressure trough
streteching across central WA, SA and through to western VIC. 

A large area of thunderstorm activity in the centre of the continent is linked
to an upper level trough. 

A cold front just to the north of Tasmania is generating mid level cloud. 

Clear skies are evident across most of southeastern Australia due to a firm
ridge of high pressure centred over the western Tasman Sea.
