An extensive area of middle level cloud with embedded thunderstorm activity over
the southeast of the country is associated with a strong cold front and trough
feeding into a complex area of low pressure in the Bight. Some low cloud covers
parts of southern WA in the wake of this system. 

A ridge of high pressure is keeping much of the remainder of the country cloud
free with some isolated mid to high level cloud sitting over NSW.
