IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC Chart on 28 August 2016 Issued at 11:22 am EST Sunday on 28 August 2016 A low pressure system and associated cold front has crossed Western Australia and is now approaching South Australia. An extensive cloud band is moving with this system, with high level cloud streaming ahead of the main cloud band. This feature is producing isolated showers and thunderstorms in the Bight and near the southwestern coast of Australia. A second cold front is moving into the Tasman Sea and is responsible for the cloud band influencing Tasmania, Victoria, and southeastern New South Wales. Some patches of low cloud are visible on the northeastern coast of Queensland in light onshore flow.
