Scattered thunderstorm activity can still be seen across the interior of Western Australia, the southwest of the Northern Territory and the far west of South Australia. This convective activity lies near to, and to the east of, a surface trough. High cloud extends further east across South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
High cloud is streaming over Tasmania from a frontal system well to the west of the state. The northern portion of this front, and its associated cloud band, is moving across southern WA.
