A broad cloud band extends from the north of Western Australia into South Australia and western New South Wales and is due to an upper trough. Cloud associated with a low pressure system moving across the Great Australian Bight also covers parts of the southeast of Western Australia.
Patchy low cloud can be seen about the southwest of WA within a moist onshore airflow. The rest of Australia is mostly cloud free although some areas of low cloud and fog lie over parts of the southeast of Australia.
