A strong cold front is impacting the southwest Land Division of Western
Australia with a surge of cold air behind it. This front connects to an
intensify low south of the Bight. Patchy cloud ahead of the front lies along a
trough through the interior of Western Australia.

A weakening East Coast Low is located off the far northern NSW coast. Cloud and
thunderstorms are visible along trough from this low over the Tasman Sea while
another trough over the Coral Sea is generating an area of shower and
thunderstorm activity. Patchy low cloud now extends over the NSW and southeast
Queensland coast.

The remainder of the country is generally clear due to a ridge of high pressure
from the southeast to the northern interior.
