Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 20 August 2014
Issued at 6:29 pm EST Wednesday on 20 August 2014
Low cloud about the South Australian, Tasmanian, Victorian and New South Wales coast is due to a high pressure system over the Great Australian Bight and the moist onshore winds. Patchy low cloud over the inland parts of eastern Australia is due to some daytime heating.
An area of low cloud over southern Western Australia is associated with northwesterly winds ahead of an approaching cold front.
