Areas of mostly middle level cloud cover large parts of Western Australia and
adjacent parts of South Australia. Embedded thunderstorms can also be seen over
parts of the Kimberley, southwest regions of Western Australia and also over the
Top End in Northern Territory. These areas of cloud are associated with a
surface trough which stretches from the central parts of Western Australia to
the Northern Territory and also an upper low just off the Western Australia west

Isolated thunderstorms remain about parts of Tropical North Queensland and is
associated with another surface trough. Tropical cyclone Ola remains slow moving
well to the east of Queensland in the Coral Sea.

Areas of cloud wrapping around a weakening low pressure system in the Tasman Sea
cover parts of Tasmania, Victoria and southeast of New South Wales. A few
thunderstorms can be seen off the New South Wales coast.
