A broad area of low pressure over northern and central Australia are generating
thunderstorms and areas of middle level cloud across the north of the country.
An area of thunderstorms are also seen extending from southwestern Queensland
into central parts of South Australia, in the vicinity of a trough.

A moist northeasterly airstream, directed onto the continent's east coast by a
high pressure system in the Tasman Sea, is producing patchy low cloud along
coastal and adjacent areas in Queensland and New South Wales.

Further west, a weak cold front is moving through the Great Australian Bight
with a broad cloud band covering most of the southern Western Australia coast.
