Isolated showers and thunderstorms over far northeast New South Wales and
southeast Queensland are associated with an active surface trough.

Typical convection for this time of the year, isolated thunderstorms have also
developed over the Northern Territory's Top End.

Middle level cloud through central WA is streaming down from a tropical low over
the Indian Ocean and extends across the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Interior districts
of Western Australia then through the Lasseter District of NT and northwest SA.

Elsewhere the country is relatively cloud free with a ridge of high pressure
extending over southeast Australia.
