Tropical Cyclone Trevor (Category 1) is located near Weipa and is slowly moving
into the Gulf of Caprentaria. Heavy rain and thunderstorm areas are in the
vicinity of Trevor and extend across the northern Gulf of Carpentaria and north

Severe Tropical Cyclone Veronica (Category 3) is located northwest of Broome.
Heavy rain and thunderstorm areas extend over a large area near Veronica.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms are active over southern WA due to a trough
which runs just inland of the west coast of WA, from near Port Headland to the
south coast.

A slow moving upper low and associated surface trough is generating showers and
thunderstorms just off the coast of southeast Queenslamd and over the Tasman

A high pressure ridge south of the continent continues to direct an easterly
flow across the remainder of southeastern Australia with patchy low cloud in
coastal areas.
