An inland surface trough extends from southwest WA to western SA and central
parts of the NT and extends further east into central parts of QLD. Unstable
conditions near and to the south of the trough has produced areas of active
cloud and thunderstorms while a high pressure system over the southeast of the
continent is maintaining mostly clear conditions apart from areas of low cloud.

A cold front to the south of WA is moving east with an associated band of cloud
while another frontal system has moved east, well into the Tasman Sea.
