Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie (category 4) is located to the north northeast of
Mackay. The rotation and the eye of this system can be clearly seen in the
impressive and extensive mass of cloud over the Coral Sea, which is also
affecting parts of the east coast of Queensland.

An active trough is producing extensive areas of thunderstorm activity across
the north and northwest of the country with a low located off the Kimberley
coast of WA. High cloud can be seen streaming across the southwest parts of WA.

A cold front with an associated band of cloud and thunderstorms is moving across
the Tasman Sea.
