An area of middle level cloud extends over central Australia and is associated
with a slow moving surface trough. A cold front is moving east through the
western parts of South Australia, producing showers and thunderstorms in the
area. The moist southerly flow behind this front is generating areas of low
cloud in the southern parts of Western Australia.

Low cloud lingers over parts of Tasmania. A deep low pressure system is still
rotating over the central Tasman Sea.
