Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 22 September 2014

Issued at 11:28 am EST Monday on 22 September 2014

Cloud associated with a strong cold front is moving across Western Australia. Embedded thunderstorms are visible over the southeast of the state and cold air behind the front is bringing low cloud and showers to the southwest.

Extensive cloud through eastern Queensland and northern New South Wales is due to an upper level low pressure system. Isolated thunderstorms are occurring within this cloud mass. Further north, high cloud is streaming from Papua New Guinea across the Coral Sea.

A ridge of high pressure is maintaining mostly clear conditions across the remainder of the country.
