A broad, slow moving cloud band extends from the central interior of Western
Australia through northern parts of South Australia and across New South Wales.
This cloud is due to an upper level trough.

A cold front is approaching the west coast of Tasmania, with a band of cloud
associated with this system extending across the western half of the state. The
cold air behind the front is represented by the spotty cloud to the southwest of
Tasmania.

Patchy low level cloud lies over parts of the SA coast and also about the
tropical Queensland coast due to a moist onshore airstream.

An area of convective cloud over the north coast of the Top End is associated
with a weak trough and an easterly surge over the Arafura Sea.
