The Sub-Tropical Ridge, or the belt linking the high pressure systems, stretches across the middle of the continent. Embedded cold fronts and troughs with associated cloud are south of this in the vigorous westerly airstream over the Southern Ocean.

A line of jetstream cloud stretches from southern South Australia and southern New South Wales to the Tasman Sea.

Some middle level cloud is visible over the Kimberley region, WA and also over Cape York Peninsula.
