A trough of low pressure persists across inland areas of the Northern Territory
and Queensland triggering some showers and thunderstorms.

Areas of cloud with thunderstorms cover much of Western Australia extending into
the Bight. This is due to an infeed of moisture and a developing upper trough to
the west.

An active cold front is moving up the New South Wales coast. This front has an
associated cloud band that stretches southeastward over the Tasman Sea. Areas of
low cloud lie in the wake of the front over Tasmania and southern Victoria.

Thunderstorm activity continues over the tropical north of the country.
