A cloud band extends from southern NSW into the Tasman Sea. This is associated
with a broad upper level trough and jet stream. Thunderstorm activity is visible
in this cloud around Lord Howe Island as well as southern NSW.
In the wake of this system low level cloud covers much of NSW and southern QLD.

A weakening cold front and associated cloud band can be seen slipping to the
south of Tasmania.

Low level cloud is evident about the far southwest of Western Australia while a
ridge of high pressure is keeping skies clear through the interior of WA.
