Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 28 November 2014

Issued at 6:35 pm EDT Friday on 28 November 2014

A broad area of low pressure dominates much of the continent with a trough extending from the far southwest corner of WA to the Northern Territory's Top End and then down through southern Queensland and into northern NSW. This system is generating patchy mid level cloud and isolated thunderstorms. While high cloud is streaming down over western South Australia and the Great Australian Bight.

Patchy of low cloud near the Queensland and New South Wales coast is due to a moist southeasterly airstream.
