A series of low pressure troughs over northern and central Australia are
generating thunderstorms and areas of middle level cloud across the north of the
country. 

A moist northeasterly airstream, directed onto the continent's east coast by a
high pressure system in the Tasman Sea, is producing patchy low cloud along
coastal and adjacent areas in Queensland and New South Wales.

Further west, a weak cold front is moving through the Great Australian Bight
with a broad cloud band covering most of the region and adjacent south coastal
areas of WA and SA.
