A trough extends from central Australia through eastern South Australia to a low
over the Great Australian Bight and is generating patchy middle level cloud and
isolated thunderstorms.

High cloud streaming onto the central parts of Western Australia from the Indian
Ocean is due to a jetstream.

Patches of low cloud over the east coast of northern Queensland is due to an
onshore wind flow.

A surface trough to the northwest of Australia has generated broad area of
thunderstorms near Indonesia.
