IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 23 May 2015 Issued at 7:06 pm EST Saturday on 23 May 2015 Cloud with isolated thunderstorms over central and southeast parts of WA is the combined result of a surface and an upper level trough. Patchy high cloud can be seen streaming across SA ahead of the upper level trough. Cloud associated with a cold front is crossing southwest WA with isolated thunderstorms visible south of the coast. Low cloud can be seen near the NSW and southern QLD coasts with onshore winds. Cloud off the east coast of QLD is due to another surface trough and upper level jetstream. A strong high pressure system centred near the western Victoria coastline extends a ridge over the remainder of the country and is maintaining mostly clear skies.
