An extensive cloud band extends from the Kimberley across central Australia to
the southeast of the continent and is associated with a trough and frontal
system. An area of isolated thunderstorms over southeastern parts of SA is
associated with a second trough.

A cold front is approaching WA from the Indian Ocean and low cloud ahead of this
system already covers parts of the southwest of the state. Patchy low cloud can
also be seen about the east coast of Queensland in a moist southeasterly
airflow.
