A trough of low pressure stretching over central Western Australia is producing
a large mass of middle level cloud and thunderstorms. Middle and high level
cloud is streaming from this system across the Bight to southeastern South
Australia and Tasmania.

A cloud band associated with a cold front is located over Tasmania, with cold
air to the west of this system producing large areas of speckled cloud in the
Bight and Southern Ocean.

Another trough extends across northern WA and the Northern Territory, with
showers and thunderstorms occurring to the north of this trough.
