Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 25 April 2014

Issued at 5:33 pm EST Friday on 25 April 2014

Thunderstorm activity over the Arafura Sea and the Gulf of Carpentaria is associated with a tropical low and an active trough.

A large cloud band over Western Australia, southern South Australia and the Bight has now reached western Victoria and Tasmania. This cloud band is from moisture being transported poleward ahead of a strengthening cold front.

Thunderstorm activity can also be seen off the New South Wales coast.
