IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 31 July 2015 Issued at 6:54 pm EST Friday on 31 July 2015 The cloud band with embedded thunderstorms over southern Western Australia is streaming quickly eastwards. This is due to surface troughs and a low pressure system located to the west. A strong cold front can be seen to the west of Tasmania. A cold front with its associated cloud band is over the eastern Tasman Sea. Patchy low cloud over the Queensland east coast is the result of the southeast trade wind flow. The remainder of the country is mostly clear due to a ridge of high pressure.
