Cloud with isolated thunderstorms extending from the northwest of WA into NT,
SA, VIC, NSW and the Bass Strait is due to a surface and an upper level trough.
Patchy high cloud can be seen streaming across the southeast of the country
ahead of the upper level trough.

Low cloud can be seen near NSW, QLD and southwest WA coasts with onshore winds.

Cloud band associated with a cold front can be seen to the south of WA while
another cold front is approaching Tasmania.

A high pressure system centered over eastern NSW extends a ridge along
Queensland's east coast. This is causing mostly clear conditions over land areas
in the tropical north. Isolated thunderstroms can be seen over waters to the
north of the continent.
