A strong, fast moving cold front is moving through the Tasman Sea with a large
field of cold air behind the front evident by the "speckled" cellular cloud
through Bass Strait and over Tasmania.

An extensive cloud band with embedded showers and thunderstorms extends over the
Great Australian Bight, SA and VIC, is associated with a second fast moving cold
front.

A band of middle level cloud streaming across the centre of the continent is
associated with a jet stream in the upper levels of the atmosphere.
