A humid unstable airmass and low pressure trough is generating extensive shower
and thunderstorm activity across the Kimberley, Northern Territory and northwest
Queensland.

Cloud is streaming from central Australia into southern Queensland and northern
NSW. Isolated embedded thunderstorms are evident mainly near the Queensland NSW
border. In the west, a low pressure trough is producing patchy cloud and
isolated thunderstorms about the Pilbara and Gascoyne districts.

Further south, a cold front extends from the Bight and approaches the west coast
of Tasmania. Patchy high level cloud is streaming ahead of the front over the
southeast of the country. Southerly winds are bringing areas of low cloud to the
southern coast of Western Australia.
