A broad band of patchy middle-level cloud extends from northern parts of the
Territory to the far northeast of New South Wales and is associated with a
trough. Isolated thunderstorms remain embedded within the cloud band about the
Top End , Gulf Country and central Queensland while isolated thunderstorms can
also be seen about parts of Tropical North Queensland.

A cold front is crossing the southeastern New South Wales, eastern Victoria and
Tasmania. Patchy low cloud has formed over much of the Victoria coast in the
wake of the cold front. The remainder of Australia is mostly cloud free.
