IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 3 March 2015 Issued at 6:22 pm EDT Tuesday on 03 March 2015 Large areas of thunderstorm activity are over the Kimberley and the Pilbara/Gascoyne region, Western Australia. High and middle level cloud from the WA southern interior is streaming southeastward. A strong upper level trough just west of WA is helping to generate this extensive cloud band. A band of convective cloud from daytime heating stretches from the Queensland interior to northeast New South Wales. Thunderstorm activity continues over the tropical north of the country especially south of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
